Community Parks Initiative

Indiana Community Development Projects, Inc. (ICDP) is pleased to announce the Community Parks Initiative (CPI). The aim of this new initiative is to help invited cities and towns in Indiana enhance local park systems across Indiana through the development and implementation of community-driven plans to improve quality of life, place, and connection. ICDP has allocated nearly $400 million in grant funding from Lilly Endowment for this two-phase, multi-year initiative providing funding for noncompetitive planning grants and competitive implementation grants.

Eligibility

Eligible cities and towns must meet population criteria and provide documentation relating to its parks and recreation function. To learn about specific eligibility requirements and funding amounts for each phase of the initiative, please read the Request for Proposals.

Information Sessions

Invited cities and towns may attend a virtual information session to review the Request for Proposals and receive guidance on submitting proposal materials. Grant Details

ICDP has allocated nearly $400 million in grant funding from Lilly Endowment Inc. for the two-phase, multi-year Community Parks Initiative. Up to $14 million of this grant funding will be provided in noncompetitive Community Parks Initiative Planning Grants, and up to $380 million of the grant funding will be provided in competitive Community Parks Initiative Implementation Grants.
